​This website describes only some of the standard practices in animal agriculture and other animal industries. In order to turn animals into commodities they must be treated as production units, and never experience freedom. Procedures to control them and use their bodies inflict great harm. Animal industries use animals' ​flesh, organs, skin, fur and excretions (dairy and eggs) for products, clothing, entertainment, and research,
​causing enormous amounts of pain, stress, and suffering.


All are slaughtered either when their usefulness declines or because
​they were bred into existence for the sole purpose of killing them.
